Kestra Holdings Wins Silver Stevie® Award for G1/G2 Advisor Succession Survey
Kestra Holdings, an ecosystem of companies that enables the advancement of high-performing financial professionals, received a Silver StevieĀ® Award as part of the 24th Annual American Business Awards for its proprietary G1/G2 Advisor Succession Survey and integrated communications campaign.
The survey, titled "Bridging the Gap: Succession Misalignment Between G1 and G2 Advisors," examined leadership succession readiness across the wealth management industry, surveying 368 advisors to uncover critical planning gaps between firm founders (G1s) and their identified successors (G2s). Key findings revealed that only 12% of G1 advisors have formal documentation in place for a leadership transition, and one in three G2 advisors may leave their firm due to unclear succession timelines.
To bring these findings to market, the Kestra communications and marketing teams executed a multi-channel campaign spanning earned media, social, digital marketing, a gated white paper, video content, a succession readiness self-assessment tool and a media roundtable event in New York City. The campaign generated 24 pieces of media coverage, with 16 feature stories and 92% of coverage placed in target wealth management publications. The initiative also drove over 533 downloads of the study and more than 10,000 landing page views.
"Succession planning is often viewed as tomorrow's challenge, but our data showed that delaying planning has a real impact on firms today," said John Amore, President of Kestra Financial. "This recognition reflects the work of a talented team that helped us bring those findings to the industry in a meaningful way, and we're grateful for the opportunity to lead this conversation."
"Building a strong succession plan and investing meaningfully in developing next generation talent are non-negotiables for creating enterprise value, and that's a message the industry needed to hear backed by data," said Pradeep Jayaraman, President of Bluespring Wealth Partners. "This award validates the collaborative effort between Kestra Financial and Bluespring to address one of the most critical challenges facing wealth management firms today."
